Kyle Merber and Ford Palmer are returning to Albuquerque for the second year in a row. Both are looking sharp and ready to toe the line in the men's 1500m. The men's 1500m is a straight final and scheduled for Sunday, 2/18, at 4:11pm Mountain Time.

On the women’s side, Cecilia Barowski and Ce’Aira Brown will represent the club in the 800m. Last year, both Barowski and Brown competed in the 600m at the USATF Indoor Championships, but are looking forward to racing their specialty event this year. The women's 800m begins on Saturday, 2/17, at 2:53pm Mountain Time.

To qualify for the World Championships, athletes will need to finish in the Top 2 amongst athletes with the qualifying standard. At the moment, Merber, Palmer and Barowski all have the necessary time, but the remainder of the squad have their eyes on the 1:46.5/2:02.0 marks as set by the IAAF. It will be the final weekend the qualifying window is open.

Coach Frank Gagliano won’t be attending in person, citing his age as a valid excuse, but he is excited to watch at home, ‘We are ready to go out there and compete! The goal is to always represent the USA in international competition and this is a great opportunity to do that!’
