Why NJNYTC? I think it’s pretty cool to have a group of people with similar goals but with very different strengths and personalities, who are working together to make each other better each day. That’s what I feel Gags cultivates at NJNY. He makes everyone believe in this pursuit.
Greatest Strength: Enjoying the grind. I think there’s this weird thing in running where things can be both very hard and fun at the same time and I think I’m good at believing in that balance.
Greatest Weakness? Overthinking.
Favorite Gags Quote: So far… “Great job. You are still a pain!!!!”
Role Model: Atul Gawande. He’s a surgeon/writer. His articles and books have inspired me to pursue medicine and healthcare research
Hobbies: Surfing, swimming, eating ice cream – preferably all in Montauk, NY
Running Idiosyncrasy: Yellow vitamin water before races. It has to be the yellow one not any other flavor especially not XXX. It is the energy one so I really feel that it directly affects the last 400 of all my races
One Run With Anyone: My mom in 1987, when she was a senior running at Yale
