Why NJNYTC? I never thought I would live in New York, but the trails we get to train on are a runner’s dream! My coaches believe I have a lot of potential to improve and they have experience in the steeplechase. This club has produced incredible athletes, and I know that having them as training partners will make me stronger and faster. I also love the team atmosphere, we are a family!
Greatest Strength: I grew up playing six different sports and I think being a well-rounded athlete benefits me in the steeplechase. You need to be coordinated and tough. My Dad always tells me I’m “soccer tough” before every race.
Greatest Weakness: Speed in the shorter distances, and chocolate!
Favorite Gags Quote: When he yells “ELBOWS IN!!” to Kira
Role Model: My Mom- I haven’t met anyone who has quite the same love for running as she does. She reminds me how lucky I am to be able to run at the professional level.
Hobbies: Cooking, baking, trying new restaurants or coffee shops, playing tennis with my family, hiking, traveling, rooting for the Washington Capitals
Running Idiosyncrasy: I’m one of those people who has to get to the exact mileage, because I like knowing I got job done. Drinking coconut water before a race is a must.
One Run With Anyone: Eliud Kipchoge. It was so inspiring to watch his attempt at breaking the 2 hour marathon barrier. I’d love to get advice from him on the mental aspect of our sport.
